Have you heard of the new Government Schooling computer networks? Pretty much its this HUGEass Proxy, Keyblogging + Surveilance system being set up in Australia. I'm under the sys setup in Brisbane which monitors all of Queensland. It was put on last week. The "reason" for doing this they say is that it removes the bill IT departments are racking up. Under the new sys teachers with a computer problem ring through to Brisbane, who open a direct link through the super network to the monitor of the stuffed computer. From their place in Brisbane an official then looks over the issue and either recalls the computer for mantainance or manipulates the configurations. I don't like that all the students in the country will be monitored like this. Hell even I put personal details on the net, but remember this system will have all my student details (teachers too!) and stuff like my address and reports on it. No matter how secure the lines are, if one person can make the technology to create them, another can tear it down. Did you hear they're taking down the Great Firewall of China for the olympics?? I don't wanna even begin to think about how people will react. It's a positive thing I think but... I can hear the rebellion already. Things are about to change. A lot.

i can totally agree with you there, hey get all your government sanction hating friends to post here, tell them to report something in IT thats buggering up the whole system, and this journal will be epic.
